My husband and I founded Westchester Realty in 2004, I did not affiliate with an established brokerage but as the BIC of our firm:
As you can imagine it wasn't easy, to say the least. We started the Firm in our home and worked tirelessly listing properties for residential sellers, to pay the bills. In 2007 we were able to lease our first commercial space and decided to recruit agents. We quickly grew to 25 sales agents but by 2008 the market crashed. It was time to pivot and by divine intervention we learned about The HUD Good neighbor Next Door Program (GNND). The response to our direct marketing was overwhelming, our sales quadrupled, transforming our business. Not only was it lucrative but introduced us to another opportunity. Listing properties for the Government. We had Listing experience and experience selling HUD properties. In 2010 we applied for and were awarded three sub-contracts to Market and Sell HUD properties. Shortly thereafter we were awarded sub-contracts to market and sell VA and USDA properties as well. To date we have sold over 1000 distressed properties, with sales volumes that exceed $60,000,000. I help ambitious Agents build and grow their Real Estate business!
